Cherie
Thanks for the phone call last. I am not sure exactly what you wanted to talk about but I anticipate it
may regard the proposed ordinance to be read tonight.
I have significant concerns about the ordinance and the significant increase in costs. I have previously
and clearly expressed my views when meeting with City Officials to review. To that point I hope to be
sending have a more complete explanation of my concerns and objections to Dan later this morning.
Most of my concern centers around the incremental legal charges which I don't feel should be the
responsibility of Nippon. We tried for many months to discuss and ultimately, achieve, a settlement to
what we felt was an improper application of taxation on our Utility Bill. It was the City choice to hire
expensive outside council. Nippon doesn't feel that we should be paying for these charges.
Hopefully we will be able to speak soon.
Sincerely;
Steve Johnson
