A. 2015 F. �u,,, _, SPECIAL MEETING - 4:30 p.m. REGULAR MEETING - 6:00 p.m. The Mayor may determine the order of business for a particular City Council meeting. The agenda should be arranged to best serve the needs and/or convenience of the Council and the public. Mayor to determine time of break. The items of business for regular Council meetings may include the following: A. CALL TO ORDER - SPECIAL MEETING AT 4:30 P.M. —A joint meeting with the Utility Advisory Committee was held to conduct a work session on utility rate setting. CALL TO ORDER - REGULAR MEETING AT 6:00 P.M. B. ROLL CALL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CEREMONIAL MATTERS, PROCLAMATIONS & EMPLOYEE RECOGNITIONS 1. Designation of Port Angeles as a Bicycle Friendly Community C. PUBLIC COMMENT- Cindy Hueth,Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, spoke about the progress at the Maloney Heights supportive housing development site,and noted that Habitat has received much help from the community in order to finish the housing project and prepare for their dedication,which she noted Council will soon be receiving invitations to. Colleen Robinson, Community Outreach Director of Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County,invited the community to the upcoming Wine Festival at the Cedars at Dungeness, saying the proceeds of the event are help fund projects for Habitat for Humanity. Eloise Kailin spoke about the ineffectiveness of fluoridation. Dale Wilson asked Council to stop the fluoridation of city water. He asked that Council decide and not put the decision to an advisory vote. He also spoke in favor of allowing two opportunities to speak during City Council meetings. D. PUBLIC HEARINGS Public hearings are set by the City Council in order to meet legal requirements. In addition, the City Council may set a public hearing in order to receive public input prior to making decisions, which impact the citizens. Certain matters may be controversial, and the City Council may choose to seek public opinion through the public hearing process.
