A. 321 East 5th Street August 16, 2016 REGULAR MEETING — 6:00 p.m. The Mayor may determine the order of business for a particular City Council meeting. The agenda should be arranged to best serve the needs and/or convenience of the Council and the public.Mayor to determine time of break The items of business for regular Council meetings may include the following: A. CALL TO ORDER - REGULAR MEETING AT 6:00 P.M. B. ROLL CALL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CEREMONIAL MATTERS, PROCLAMATIONS & EMPLOYEE RECOGNITIONS C. PUBLIC COMMENT—To allow time for the Council to complete its legislative agenda, comments should be limited to no more than three minutes per person, and a total of-15 minutes for the comment period.At the discretion of the Mayor, the time allotted for public comment may be lengthened or shortened. (Council Rules of Procedure Section 9A). D. LATE ITEMS —To be placed on this or future agendas, including any executive session needed during or at the end of the meeting. 1. Councilmember Collins requested the Council revisit the Fluoride Alternatives Ad Hoc Committee recommendations 2. Councilmembers Kidd and Gase requested Council address the need for educating the public on the recent removal of fluoride from the City's water supply, and asked that the County Health Officer be involved 3. (Council Rules of Procedure Section 9A). ADJOURNMENT—9:14 p.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS Public hearings are set by the City Council in order to meet legal requirements. In addition, the City Council may set a public hearing in order to receive public input prior to making decisions,which impact the citizens. Certain matters may be controversial, and the City Council may choose to seek public opinion through the public hearing process.
