I am writing to ask for an extension on my building permit #06 -64 that has expired. The last inspection stated that I
needed to finish the hand rail and platform at the bottom of the steps. I am a teacher and coach and unfortunately haven't
found any time to finish the project. School will be out in 7 days and my first priority is to finish the porch. Please let me
know if I am granted the extension and any fees that I might owe.

Building Department,
Due to some unforeseen situations I was unable to start and finish my project
which includes a new covered front porch. Materials have been ordered and the project is
scheduled to start on March 31. I thank the building department for their consideration

EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW: If no permit is issued within 180 days of the date of application, the application will expire. The
Building Official can extend the time for action by the applicant up to 180 days upon written request by the applicant (see Section RI 05.3 2
of the International Building/Residential Code, 2003). No application can be extended more than once.
