RE: Reouest for Re gional Veterans Day Observance Site for 2009
Dear Mr. Bristol,
Since 1996, the Coast Guard Group Port Angeles has served as the site for the Regional Veterans
Day observance. It is the city's honor and pleasure to again request that coast Guard Group
Port Angeles be designated as the observance site for 2009.
Each year, the citizens of the North Olym.pic Peninsula have gathered in Port Angeles to honoL
the men and women who faithfirlly served in the armed forces. It is important to our community
to pay tribute to all veterans who have served our country and defended its freedom.
The Coast Guard Air Station is an ideal site for the celebration, and the Coast Guard person4el
have been most gracious hosts to the community. we look forward to the 2009 veterans Day
observance, as it is our opportunity to collectively recognize the loyal veterans who have served
on our behalf. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Gary Braun
