I am interested in fulfilling my civic duty to provide some of my time and skills towards the benefit of the City of Port Angeles as well as the community at large.Working for a public electric utility,and with experience working with Bonneville Power Administration(BPA)I think I am a particularly well suited to be a constructive member of the City's Utility Advisory Commission. What in your background or experience do you think would help you in serving on this Board? I have worked for Clallam County PUD for the past 12 years.For six of those years I was a member of BPA's Utility Sounding Board and I was just recently was reappointed to the body.As such I have experience with the operations of an electrical utility,as well as I have background working with BPA,the City's electrical wholesale provider. What is your understanding of the responsibilities of this particular Board or Committee? The City's Utility Advisory Commission is tasked with advising City Council and staff on matters as they relate to the City's public works operations including electrical services and operations,solid waste management,as well as domestic and waste water. Please feel free to add any additional comments you wish to make regarding your application. J When I applied to complete the term that is now ending I did so as a long term permanent resident alien,but in September of 2017 I took the oath of allegiance to the constitution and laws of the United State and I would be honored and excited to get reappointed for another term as a citizen of this United States of America. In addition to monthly Tuesday afternoon meetings, the UAC sometimes has site visits or joint evening meetings with the City Council.
