Per our pervious conversation in order to serve water to the above reference project a water line
extension would be required. It has been estimated that an extension of the water line would be
approximately $4000.00. Connection would be in the First / Front alley east of Ennis Street. You
indicated that Economic Development would contribute approximately $1000.00 toward the water line
extension. Mr. Chamberlin has applied for a building permit, which is presently under review. The
building permit number is 04-905. The account number in which Economic Development would direct
the funding into would be Building permit # 04-905 402-7380-3434025. I will notify you as to when the

Bill, Tim Smith had previously arranged to have the Economic Development budget contribute $1000.00
toward a water main line extension. The city will be installing a water main down the alley to service this
property. The approximate cost for the extension was $4000.00. A building permit was issued and as
part of that permit the water main ext was paid in the amount of $2915.50. On 11/16/04 tim gave
instructions to Yvonne to transfer $1000 from his 2004 budget (150; rural utility development fund) to
building permit # 04-905 acct # 402-7380-3434025. After conversing with Jim Harper and John Hebner
this morning I found that the area of concern is with the existing buried electrical line and the existing
easement.

Dear Frank,
Per your request for electrical service, a cost estimate has been created. The
cost for labor and materials supplied by City Light to serve your property is
$4,455.73. This estimate is good for 180 days. This estimate is subject to change
as your company provides additional information.
The customer/contractor will be responsible for the following:
1) Surveying and staking the property. Clearing, grading and bringing the
area to final grade before installation of electrical facilities.
2) Trenching, backfilling and restoration of the entire job.
The primary cable trench must be a minimum of forty-seven (47")
inches deep trench, twenty-four (24") inches wide. The trench must
meet the requirements of:
WAC Chapter 296-155N "Excavation. Trenchinq and Shorinq".
All excavated material shall be placed no closer than two (2) feet from
the back edge of the excavation and any excavation over forty-seven
(47) inches in depth will need shoring.
Backfill and compaction will be in accordance with Spec# UM 001-P.
3) Providing a 24/7 all-season road for maintenance.
4) All required permits. (Trenching in the RlW, Electrical, etc.)
5) Payment of the estimated job cost: $4,455.73.
