Per WAC 51-51-2300, if the answer to the following questions is “yes” a building permit will be issued for simple (10-15kw
output) PV systems without further engineering.
Section M2302.2.1 – Where solar panels are installed on roofs, the roof structure shall be deemed adequate to support
the load of the rooftop if all of the following are met:
