provide access to the new modular home tor Charles Anderson. The center ot the
constructed roadway will be 5' south ot the right-ot-way centerline; the Milwaukee Drive
right-ot-way is 100' wide in this area and the proposed centerline offset was approved by
Gary Kenworthy previously.

Jay I've been out of the office, sorry about the delay in getting info back to you. There is no storm drain
on the east side of Peabody Street. Our crew dye tested the line. So the plan will be as previously
discussed with Eric, go down the alley turn at the corner west side of Peabody and take the line down the
planting strip. Eric has indicated that the city will be installing a curb drain inlet just south of th~ Front &
Peabody intersection, it will be about 20' south of intersection. This is where you will connect into the stm
. drain. Have you determnined what the water meter size will be? Trenia

Dan Morrison came in and discussed the utility connections for the above ref. address. This complex
requires a connection for water service, fire protection and san. sewer all off Front Street going down over
the slope. I suggested that he meet with you on site to discuss what he proposes to do. He is looking at
using his excavator with a 3' bucket from up above and at street level. Since this is in a high traffic area
and on a hill side slope a field review of the project will be necessary. He will supply a traffic control plan
so Neil should also be involved. The area for traffic revision may close to the area of Front Street that has
slippage problems on the north lane. He would like to meet maybe next Monday, but you tell me when
and I will cardinate all parties. Thanks TF

We met about 6 weeks ago when I inquired about fees for utilities for a condominium project my partner
and I are designing. The location, to refresh your mind, is at 326 East Front.
There are a few issues we have uncovered in our feasibility study that we need you to address.
1) We will be tying into the storm and water via the alley to the south of the property, to the east via the
alley, then north in the grass median to Front street where we will connect to both water and storm. The
city is going to be starting a paving project on Peabody Street that will include a new apron entrance to the
alley. This work will be done well before we will be starting our project and the new apron is in direct line
with the trench we will be digging. Of course, we don't want to disturb the new apron so we want to put
either some kind of sleeve or the actual piping in this area during the Peabody construction.
From your standpoint, is there an issue with the storm, building water, and a second water line for fire
sprinkler in this trench? We will be working with an engineering firm on the details but wanted to check
with you first for your input. Eric Walrath has been very helpful to date in finding solutions with the road
construction.
2) Since this is a condominium project, we may only require 1 meter for water and the costs to be shared
by the condominium association. If we only use one meter, are we then required to pay the water
development fees for all the units or just the one meter? This same question may apply to the sanitary
sewer. We will be making only one access to the city system.
We hope to have preliminary drawings fairly soon, and will get those to you for your input. We realize
there are retention water issues and potential repaving issues that we will need to talk about, but the
above are very critical to our development.

Jay, I will discuss the proposal with the water division on how best to deal with placement of the water
meter (s). Bill Beverford will be here this morning so I'll run it past him. I have attached the Public Works
2004 fee schedule so you can determine what works for you on sizing the meter. Normally a single family
dwelling has a 5/8 meter, if you choose to do a single larger meter, the fees are based on a meter factor

The hospital has taken out the clear and grade permit & the right of way use permit, Primo will be
responsible for the right of way permit which means any area within the trail. I called Primo leaving the
mesage about the permit. I'm sure they will comply with what ever we require. If there is a problem just

Was contacted by Bob from Primo about starting construction repairs to the slide area at the hospital on
Tuesday Sept. 7th.
Bob said that he has all his permits, but hasn't heard back from Trenia Funston concerning the right of
way permit.
Primo anticipates construction to last about ten days. The trail will be closed at times from the West
Rayioner gate to the West side of Francis St. Park, but open on weekends.
