Dear Kelly,
As a follow up to our phone conversation of July 30, 1 have prepared the necessary Notice to Title that must be filed by you prior to
issuance of the City's building permit. As we discussed,the remodel you propose distinctly resembles a dwelling unit; it is not usual
to have a half bath in a workshop/craft/storage area, and it is important to, at this early juncture, make it very clear that the
remodeled unit cannot be occupied in the location that it exists on your property. That is to say, it does not observe residential
setbacks. The unit must only be utilized as a workshop/craft/storage area as we discussed and as you represented. You mentioned
that the shower was your builder's suggestion. I noted that on the building permit you did not mention who that contractor is.
The Notice to Title will eliminate future misunderstanding regarding the occupancy permitted for the accessory structure. If you
choose to remove the shower in the accessory structure,you will not need to file the notice; but in the event you feel the shower is
important to the use,you will need to file the Notice with the County Auditor and present a copy of the filed document to the City to
pick up your building permit. The Auditor will charge you a$73 fee for that filing.

Otherwise,the Code Compliance Officer will contact you when the building permit is ready for process. I expect that will be within
the next day or so.
