CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING
Deputy Mayor Dexter called the special meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 5:05 p.m.
Members Present: Mayor Bruch participated by phone, Deputy Mayor Dexter, Councilmembers French, Kidd, Moran,
and Schromen-Wawrin.
Members Absent: Councilmember Merideth.
Staff Present: City Manager West, Attorney Bloor, Clerk Martinez -Bailey, C. Delikat, B. Smith, T. Agesson,
A. Brekke, and J. Viada.
WORK SESSION
Attorney Bloor provided a PowerPoint presentation, beginning with a history of code compliance in Port Angeles.
Director of Community and Economic Development Allyson Brekke, Port Angeles Deputy Chief Jason Viada and
Police Chief Smith, spoke about how the need for code compliance affects each of their departments. Staff presented
a few different options the City could choose to approach the code compliance issue and discussed potential pros and
cons if the City were to begin enforcing code compliance. Council discussion followed.
ADJOURNMENT
Deputy Mayor Dexter adjourned the meeting at 6:16 p.m.
