PLAN CHECK FEE: IF a plan check fee is due it must be submitted at the time the building permit application and construction plans are
submitted. All other permit fees are due at the time of permit issuance.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW: If no permit is issued within 180 days of the date of application, the application will expire. The
Building Official can extend the time for action by the applicant up to 280 days upon v,ritten request by the applicant (see Section RI 05.3 2
of the International Building/Residential Code, 2003). No application can be extended more than once.

Sealed bids will be received by the Director of Public Works Utilities at 321 East Fifth Street, P.
O. Box 1150, Port Angeles, Washington 98362, until 10:00am, August 2, 2005, and not later, and
will then and there be opened and publicly read at that time in the Public Works Conference
Room, downstairs, at City Hall for the construction of the following improvements:
Approximately 1,150 cubic yards of sod stripping and disposal, grading, installation of
approximately 4,500 linear feet of new sub drainage lines, reconstruction of a portion of the
existing irrigation system, placing approximately 2,300 cubic yards of new sports field sand,
approximately 151,00 square feet of fine grading and seeding and incidental items for completion.
The project is broken down into two areas Area A (Base Bid) and Area B (Additive Bid).
The cost range for this project is $150,000 $200,000. The time of completion (performance
period) for this Project is 40 working days. To view detailed plans and specifications, go to
www.bxwa.com on the internet, or contact the Builders Exchange of Washington at 425 -258-
1303.
Detailed plans and specifications may be obtained from the office of the City Engineer, City of
Port Angeles, upon payment of a non refundable fee of $25.00. Informational copies of maps,
plans and specifications are on file for inspection in the office of the City Engineer [Phone 360-
417- 4700]. Bidders shall be qualified for the type of work proposed. A Bidder's Construction
Experience Form is included in the Project Manual. See the Information for Bidders page in Part
1 of the Project Manual for more bidding information.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the bid opening
date and time, the project name and number as it appears in this advertisement and the name
and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the Director of Public Works Utilities,
City of Port Angeles, 321 East Fifth Street, P. O. Box 1150, Port Angeles, Washington 98362.
When awarded the Contract, the successful bidder shall promptly execute the Contract and shall
furnish a bond of faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price.

Beginning Friday, July 15, 2005, the main parking lot on the east side of the courthouse
will be overlayed with a new coat of asphalt.
Early Friday morning the eastern most half of the parking lot will be barricaded so that vehicular access will not
be possible. That section will be prepped and then paved and striped probably finishing up around 5:00 or 6:00
PM. At that time the remaining western half of the parking lot will be closed off and paving and striping will
continue until complete. The entire parking lot will be inaccessible through the weekend for proper curing and
miscellaneous work.
Thursday afternoon, July 14th, the Road Dept. will begin relocating County pool vehicles to the PA Road Shop.
If you need assistance with this for your department please contact Tom Maley at ext. 2378. The Road Shop will
also be available for anyone wishing to park their car for the day and car pool to the courthouse.
It is very important that all County and personal vehicles are removed by Thursday evening.
The PAPD will be lifting the 2 hour street parking requirements for Friday so no one will be ticketed for extended
parking on streets around the courthouse.
Again, please see that all vehicles are out by Thursday evening and if there are any people that need to be
notified about the parking lot inaccessibility, please let them know before hand.
