CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Dexter called the special meeting of the Port Angeles City Council to order at 5:00 p.m.
Members Present: Mayor Dexter (virtual participation), Deputy Mayor Meyer (virtual participation), Council
Members Carr,McCaughan,Miller, and Suggs.
Members Absent: Council member Schromen-Wawrin.
Staff Present: City Manager West, Assistant City Manager Goings, Attorney Bloor, Clerk Martinez-Bailey, C.
Delikat,B. Smith, S. Carrizosa,M. Sanders,M.Healy,N. Gollub.
STRATEGIC PLANNING WORK SESSION
Mayor Dexter opened the meeting and spoke to the purpose of the meeting. City Manager Nathan West stated the
slides to be presented,would highlight what was accomplished under the 2021-2022 plan,in addition,he stated a
portion of the presentation addressed potential revenue sources and said Council would have the opportunity to ask
clarifying questions. Manager West presented slides outlining the four Issues of Critical Importance as identified in
the original plan and spoke to the need for the policy to be updated and in-line with the Council's most important
policy initiatives. Finance Director Sarina Carrizosa presented slides that outlined potential revenue options to be
discussed during the upcoming April work session.Director Carrizosa presented options that require voter approval
and those that do not and stated it would be helpful for Council to provide a narrow list of options to pursue.
Manager West expressed the importance for early action from Council in consideration of the preparation of the
2024 Budget.
Council member Meyer left the meeting at what 5:55 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Dexter adjourned the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
