This altemate proposal was created to resolve certain issues which exist on &e job
which limit our ability to replace the existing equipment with new product of similar style
and design. Due to the closeness of the duct penetrations to each other the rnanufacturers
required service clearances can not be met w"ithout relocating one ofthe units. This may
force the building department to require structural engineering and possible liamiag
modifications which could greatiy add to the project cost and delay the installation up to
a month or more. The equipment in this altemate bid is the new inverter, variable speed
type which is much less expensive to operate, has overall longer service life, is much
quieter and the roof top heat pump coil is coated to resist salt air corrosion. We have
reduced our markup on this produot to bring it closer to the origiaal bid however it will
require some additional electrical wiring which is not included.

o Remove the existing ?,5 ton and the 5 ton rooftop heat pumps and cap the ducts
as required.
c Install a "Daikin", 10 ton. variable speed, split system hear pump on the rooftop.
This unit is factory coated to withstaad salt air corrosion.. Install 4 - ? Y2 lon capacity, Ceiling mounted, ductless indo61 ,,nits , 2 in the
south banquet room, 2 in the north banquet room.o Install a ducted air handlet above the ceiling of the butlers pantry which will
conneet to the existing duclwork to heat and cool the foyer, bathrooms, storage
room and butlers pantry.
o lnstall 3 - Navigatioq temperature controilerc, one in each banquet room and ole
in the foyer. They all need to be in the same mode at the same time (either heating
or cooLing).
r AI1 of &e indoor units will cornect to the hear pump on the roof.. A suppiy fan will mount on the rooftop and cotmect to the existing ductwork to
provide fresh air to the spaces. It will be controlled by a CO 2 detector which will
signal the fan to bring in fresh air as required when the room is sufficiently
populated.
o An exhaust duct and hood \,/ill be installed to relieve the stale air to the outside.. Clean the ducts which are stili active in the syslem.o lncludes crane and permits as required.
