Clearance from any portion of the new garage to the existing
overhead service conductor must meet WAC 296-45-045,
National Electric Safety Code (NESC) Rule 234Cla, and PAMC
14.05.020 requirements. Clearance required is 4.5 feet
vertical and 3 feet horizontal with the vertical clearance
extending past the edge of the roof and horizontal clearance
extending above the top of the outer-most vertical surface,
including rain gutters, to a point where the two clearances
meet.
