Phillips Memorial Fund through the Seattle Foundation. As an agency that directly works with TAFY, we recommend their application be considered for grant funding in order to continue the incredible work they do for the Port Angeles community. TAFY’s goal is to upgrade the worn chain link fence along First Street to improve the appeal and safety so they can continue to drive greenhouse sales which go directly to help individuals in need. TAFY is asking for $10,000 to replace the chain link fence that runs along the front of their greenhouse, next to First Street. Adding new fencing will enhance the look of the neighborhood. A new fence will enhancesafety measures for parking and entering the greenhouse. Additionally, it will make unloading of plants by large delivery trucks safer and help eliminate traffic congestion in the alley or the highly used main street. The fencingwill be securely locked and under a security camera. Curb appeal is vital to greenhouse salesand this new fence will certainly help to improve capital that directly goes back to our community members in need of assistance. Granting this project funding will ensure TAFY is able to purchase essentials needed in order to generate the capital required to help our City of Port Angeles at-risk community members. The City of Port Angeles is committed to working together with TAFY to help our local homeless and at-risk individuals. Sincerely, Kate Dexter Mayor
