PROJECT A (HEALTH AND SAFETY REPAIRS)
1600 l}Install new hardwired smoke alarms with battery backup
throughout the house to code. Alarms to be inter-tied.
2)Safe up electrical wiring, outlets. fixtures, junction
boxes and connections throughout the house. All fixtures and
connections to have proper junction boxes. Insure that all
3-prong outlets are properly grounded and that all other
outlets have proper polarity. Insure that all open junction
boxes, switches and ou~lets have cover plates. Properly
attach all loose romex wiring in the crawl space.
Insure that the service panel is properly wired and labeled.
Install proper tie-downs to secure the OVerhead mast at the
rear service entry.
3)Insure that all existing outlets and switches are working.
Include replacement of all defective outlets and switches.
4) Bathroom: Install a new GFCI protected outlet near the
sink.
5) Bathroom: Install a new wall mount light fixture to
replace the existing light and cop_~ect to a new switch to be
located near the doorway.

6lKitchen: Install (ll additional GFCI pro~ected outlet
near the sink. Homeowner ~o designate location.
7) Kitchen: Insure that existing outlets near the sink have
proper GFCI protection.
BlKitchen/utility area: Install a new circuit and outlet for
the washing machine.
9lKitchen: Install a new separate circuit and outlet for a
microwave oven. Homeowner to designate lOCation.
10) Kitchen: Install a new separate circuit and (2)
additional oUclets.
III Kitchen: Install (2) ne~ ceiling light fixtures and
connect to a ne~ switch to replace the existing switch near
the doorway.
12lUtility area: Install a new 4-foot 4-tube florescent
ceiling light fixture to replace the existing light. Connect
to a new switch to be located near the kitchen doorway.
13)Living room: Install (2) additional outlets. Homeowner to
designate location.
14)Safe-up electric baseboard heaters throughout the house.
Insure proper wiring and adequate circuits and breakers.
15)Living room: Install (2) new electric baseboard heaters
to replace the existing heaters. Connect to a new separate
thermostat switch to replace the existing thermostat. "
16)Master bedroom: Install a new electric baseboard heater
to replace the existing heater. Connect to a new separate
thermostat switch to replace the eXisting thermostat.
17)Master bedroom: Ins!:all a new 2-foot 2-tube florescent
ceiling light in the closet area and connect to a new switch
near the closet entry.
IB)Master bedroom: Install (2) additional outlets. Homeowner
to designate location.
19)Install a new dusk/dawn or motion sensor light at the
rear of the house to replace the existing light. Connect to
a new switch to be located in the kitchen or util"ity area.

ELECTRICAL PE~T AN.D CITY INSPECTION REQUIRED-Contractor to
include appropriate fee in bid.
Note: Homeowner has experienced extensive problems with circuit
overloading, blown light bulbs and fixtures, and outlets and
switches not working.
