General Conditions:
The contractor and subcontractors must possess all appropriate current licenses, permits, certificates and be in good
standing to conduct business and perform work in the State of Washington. For any items on the specification repair
list which are affected by the Rural Development lead -based paint requirements, the contractor must also possess a
Notice of Completion mdicating they are trained in lead -safe work practices.
All work performed is to be accomplished in accordance with all applicable codes, regulations and standards.
The contractor is responsible to provide all materials to fulfill the requirements of the repairs. All products must be
new and installed in accordance with the manufacture's recommendations.
The contractor is responsible to assure that, all the labor is performed by a qualified trade person in accordance with
accepted standards.
All work must be completed in a reasonable amount of time as agreed upon with both the applicant and the contractor
with concurrence by Rural Development.
The contractor must consult with the homeowner and obtain concurrence in the selection of products and materials.
All work must be coordinated with the homeowner
The contractor is to remove and dispose of all trash and debris that is a result of the repair work. The site is to be m a
reasonably clean condition at the time of the final acceptance of the work.

The contractor shall provide a warranty, which will apply to all workmanship, materials and equipment for one year
from the date of completion of the repair work.
All work shall be accomplished according to the best standards of the trade and all materials, equipment, and fixtures
shall meet or exceed the standard of the industry
Section 0100 General Requirements

1 Permits Contractor is required to obtain the necessary building, plumbmg,
mechanical and electrical work permits from the proper authorities.
Section 0300 Exterior (House)
1 t. 'Re-roof dwelling, remove layers of existing roofing and pile neatly and haul
away immediately NOTE. It is the contractor s responsibility to determine
the number of layers of roofing, prior to making a bid Inspect all roof
sheathing, if replacement, or partial replacement, is required contact the
USDA office staff to request a Change Order Install new 30 pound felt and
235 pound Class A labeled fiberglass strip, 3 tab self sealing shingles
warranted by the manufacturer for 25 years or more. Include metal drip edge.
Install according to manufacturer's requirements. Owner to select color
(Roofing And Sheathing)
NOTE. New sheathing shall be plywood or other approved material (grade stamped)
not less then inch structurally rated interior /exterior type. 3/8 inch
structurally rated material (grade stamped) may be used over existing wood
board sheathing (not skip sheathing) and fastened to the rafters according to
the manufacture's specifications. Replacement Sheathing shall match
existing.
