City Council/Staff working on major code revisions throughout our PAMC for the last 4 years. 2. In near future a New Boards, Committee & Commissions Section will be Presented to the Council for Possible Adoption. 3. Very Few Changes for Parks, Recreation & Beautification Section. 4. All Boards, Committee & Commissions Sections are more on par with each other so there is consistency with each other. When we know more, will let Commission know. 5. Code work could take several more years 6. City Manager West wanted the Parks Commission to review the following tonight: 8 PA R K S & R E C R E A T I O N Fee Waiver Code 9 What is the actual PAMC as it relates to fee waivers? •1.25.030 -Waiver of fees. •Fees may be waived by the City Manager if necessary to support the poor or infirm. Very Strait forward code. However, this is the process we have been doing. PA R K S & R E C R E A T I O N Fee Waiver Code Background: Shortly after becoming Director: •Past City Manager •What do other City’s do? Do they have them, or so they not? What are the provisions? •Reaching out to other City’s through NRPA & WRPA. •Yes & No-Both were passionate about having them or not having them. •It was decided at the time too: •Keep the fee waiver as long as it was consistent. •Develop a form that would be turned into the Parks & Recreation for the Director to approve/deny and send that document to the City Manager’s office for approval or denial. •Eligibility: •Non-profits putting on free event for public (Daddy Daughter Dance). •Non-Profit that works closely with the City/Community on projects and funding (United Way). •Service Clubs that provide community service work to benefit the citizens and the City (All of them) 10 PA R K S & R E C R E A T I O N Fee Waiver Code Form 11 PA R K S & R E C R E A T I O N Fee Waiver Code- Rental Facilities 12 City Pier Gateway Pebble Beach Park Campfire Loomis Clubhouse VB Kitchen VB Meeting Rooms VB GYM Council Chambers Civic Field PA R K S & R E C R E A T I O N Fee Waiver Code- Costs 13 City Pier Gateway Pebble Beach Park Campfire Loomis Clubhouse VB Kitchen VB Meeting Rooms VB GYM Council Chambers Civic Field Banner Rentals (Weekly Cost) Personal $124.10 + $10.92 tax (8.8%) = $135 Loaner $128.70 + $11.33 tax (8.8%) = $140 City Hall Council Chambers Non-Profit Profit Deposit Resident $15/hour $20/hour $50 Non-Resident $22.50/hour $30/hour $50 Ediz Hook Boat Launch Daily Pass $10 (tax included) Annual Permit $45.96 + $4.04 tax (8.8%) = $50 Gateway / Pier / Pebble Beach Park Non-Profit Profit Resident $100 daily flat rate $150 daily flat rate Non-Resident $150 daily flat rate $225 daily flat rate Loomis, Clubhouse & Campfire Clubhouse Non-Profit Profit Resident $20/hour $200 daily flat rate $30/hour $300 daily flat rate Non-Resident $30/hour $300 daily flat rate $45/hour $450 daily flat rate Vern Burton Rentals Resident Non-Profit Resident Profit Non-Resident Non-Profit Non-Resident Profit Gym $25/hour $250 daily flat rate $45/hour $450 daily flat rate $37.50/hour $375 daily flat rate $67.50/hour $675 daily flat rate Kitchen $20/hour $75/day max. $30/hour $200/day max. $30/hour $112.50/day max. $45/hour $300/day max.
