Dear Roger,
This is to request an extension of building permit 13527 (copy enclosed) to May
1, 2003.
The contractor never started the work. He broke several commitments to start
and recently said that he would not be able to do it until next year. I immediately
contacted other roofers and have contracted with Diamond Roofing. Since it is
late in the season, Diamond has indicated that they will complete the work next
spring. The bid price from Diamond is slightly below the bid price from the
previous contractor.
