PCA W-G, E71T-l CVN certified filler, Esab 7100 Ultra, .045 diameter.
2. Base material A500 Grade n, 7x5x.500 HSS steel, backing in place, 4 CJP welds total.
3. VI (visual) joint titup, tack welding with backing in place. Conforms to A WS Dl.1 prequalifiedjoi.nt
design.
4. Continuous VT inspection of root passes, fill passes and cap passes.
5. Inspected welds conform to A WS D1.1 VT criteria per Table 6.1 and drawing details.
6. All welding per written WPS (welding procedure specification).

GARAGE PORTAL SYSTEMS
Garage Portal systems provide increased lateral resistance over site-built shea ails in locations
where space is at a premium. Portal walls shall be installed with a minimum 1 . nominal deep
header for adequate shear nailing. Because the portal walls and header are t ed as a system,
