In Recognition of
Cherie Kidd, Ms. Senior World 2025
wHEREAS,the City of Port Angeles recognizes Cherie Kidd for her outstanding achievement as
the current reigning Ms. Senior World, 2025; and
WHEREAS Senior World Pageants celebrates women over 60 who exhibit outstanding community
service and the ability to represent senior women as a positive role model; and
Cherie Kidd has been a true advocate for her city through her 12 years of outstanding
public service on the Port Angeles City County and serving as Deputy Mayor and
Mayor; and
wHEREAS,
wHEREAS,Cherie's current position continues her tradition of community service representing her
home town of Port Angeles, WA, throughout the United States and internationally. Cherie
promotes our city through her media outreach, including interviews with podcast programs,
magazine articles and TV news interviews; and
wHEREAS,while being an official Ambassador for the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Cherie has
exponentially expanded her opportunities to shine the light on our town through her new
duties and invitations at events such as Mardi Gras, New York Fashion Week, women's
seminars in the United States and Europe and guest appearances; and
wHEREAS,Cherie Kidd is a native of Port Angeles, WA and is a leader and volunteer in local civic
clubs. She has served as past president of the Port Angeles Noon Kiwanis, the Soroptimist
International of Port Angeles and currently serves as Lt. Governor of Kiwanis of the Pacific
Northwest; and
WHEREAS,we acknowledge the public service, community service and example Cherie Kidd sets as
a loyal volunteer for the community she loves and serves and for senior women during
her reign in2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Kate Dexter, Mayor, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL of PORT
ANGELES, do hereby congratulate Cherie Kidd on her achieving the title of Ms. Senior World, and recognize
Cherie for teaching us that "age is just a number" and encouraging everyone to set goals, pursue their dreams
and never let age become an obstacle to your accomplishments.
