Special Notes and Comments
Manufactured home must be pit set so that no more than 12"
of skirting is visable above grade.
A residential fire sprinkler system shall be installed per
NFPA 13D will be required.
2nd option is to install an out side alarm bell that is
eletronicly connected to the residence's smoke detectors.
The alarm bell will be painted red in color and identified
as "Fire alarm"
Application should be corrected to be 2800 sq. ft. total for
lot coverage of 7%. No land use issues are noted. A
boundary line adjustment has been done for the site which
will now be legally described as Lot A of BLA 04-07 rather
than Lot 1 of Becker Short Plat.
Electrical load calculations and elctrical permits are
required.
Any modifications to the City'S electrical facilities will
be at the customer's expense.
Ditches and culverts will be installed to City Stanards. See
Public Works Engineering for Standards.

Dear Tammy,
Per your request for electrical service, two cost estimates have been created.
The cost for labor and materials supplied by City Light are:
OPTION#1: Upgrade the existing overhead transformer is $2,340.15.
OPTION#2: Set a padmount transformer is $7,591.00.
These estimates are good for 180 days. These estimates are subject to change
as additional data is provided and may require signed/notarized easement.
OPTION#1 :
The customer/contractor will be responsible for the following:
1) Providing, installing and future maintenance of the service riser on the
pole. (Ref: Underground Service-Secondary Riser CR 5 01)
2) Providing, installing and future maintenance of the underground
service wires in conduit from the power pole to the house and/or meter
base. (Ref: Trenching Specifications UM 001-S)
3) Coordination with Capacity Provisioning, Qwest and WAVE Broadband
for installation of their equipment and joint trench usage.
4) All required permits. (Trenching in the R1W, Electrical, etc.
5) Payment of $2,340.15
City Light will be responsibie for the following:

OPTION#2:
The customer/contractor will be responsible for the following:
1) Surveying and staking the property. Clearing, grading and bringing the
area to final grade before installation of electrical facilities.
2) An easement ten (10) feet in width for the route and location of the
cable, vaults and conduit. (An easement form will be created if you
choose option #2.This will need to be signed and notarized before
construction begins).
3) Trenching, backfilling and restoration of the entire job.
The primary cable trench must be a minimum of forty-seven (47")
inches deep trench, twenty-four (24") inches wide and approximately
one hundred twenty (120') feet in length. The trench must meet the
requirements of:
WAC Chapter 296-155N "Excavation, Trenchinq and Shorinq".
The service wire trench must be a minimum of thirty-three (33") inches
deep and eighteen (18") inches wide from the secondary pedestal to
the meter location.
All excavated material shall be placed no closer than two (2) feet from
the back edge of the excavation and any excavation over forty-seven
(47) inches in depth will need shoring.
Backfill and compaction will be in accordance with Spec# UM 0 01-P
and UM 0 01...S (enclosed).
4) Excavation and backfill for the transformer vault 32"x44"x36".
Spec# U 1 04 (enclosed).
5) Installation and future maintenance of the underground wire in conduit
from the secondary pedestal to the meter base(s).
6) Providing a 24/7 all-season road for maintenance.
7) Coordination with Capacity Provisioning, Qwest and WAVE Broadband
for installation of their equipment and joint trench usage.
8) All required permits. (Trenching in the R1W, Electrical, etc.)
9) Payment of the estimated job cost: $7,591.00.
The City will be responsible for the following:
1) Providing and installing cable(s) and conduit. (Except for the house
service).
2) Installing conduit riser(s) including the primary termination.
3) Providing and installing the transformer vault(s), secondary pedestal(s)
and associated equipment.
4) Providing and installing the electric meter(s).
If the actual cost of construction exceeds the estimated amount, there will be no
further billing. If the cost is less than the estimate, the difference will be refunded
to you.
Work will be scheduled in five (5) to six (6) weeks after the receipt of the payment
and any required easements for either construction option. This allows for
engineering design, scheduling the City Light crews and the requisitioning of
materials.
Option #2 is the City recommended construction because of possible voltage
problems (voltage drop and flicker). Review these concerns with your electrical
contractor prior to payment.
