Drainage Plan Olympic Vista Community
The Olympic Vista Project is located between the alleyways north and south of Lopez Street and
east of Vine Street in Port Angeles, Washington. The property has only five small willow bushes
on it and has otherwise been an open -grass field for the last 20 plus years.
The Housing Authority of the County of Clallam has contracted with 20 -20 Engineering of
Bellingham, Washington for the civil engineering and site development plan using a low impact
design. As part of that design they will provide a plan for storm water run -off to meet the
requirements of the City of Port Angeles. In the interim, HACC has developed a standard plan
using drywells to control run off so that we can apply for building permits for foundations. All
other materials used in this project for parking and sidewalks etc. will be of pervious material as
specified by 20 -20 Engineers to meet low impact standards. When 20 -20 Engineenng site
development plan for the site is approved by the City, HACC intends to abandon the dry well
plan in favor of 20 -20's storm water run off as the preferred plan.
Attached is a plot plan showing dry well locations and sizes, and calculations for each home site
per City drywell design instructions.
