This office performed special inspection of the epoxy anchor installations on the home vC
noted above The epoxy anchors were installed for new holdowns along thecommon
wall between the garage and the house Also due to site conditions epoxy anchors
were also installed to attach the existing sill plate to the concrete stemwall at this same
wall line A total of 13—5/8' diameter epoxy anchors were installed to attach the sill
plate to the existing stemwall The installation of the epoxy anchors was in conformance
with the manufacturer's requirements and was found to be acceptable to this office.
It should also be noted that it was found that no footing existed under the proposed
location of the 4x10 support post in the garage To address this issue the slab was
removed to allow construction of a 26' square x 12' deep pier footing with 444 bars at
the bottom The size ofthe new footing and its reinforcing was inspected by this office
and found to be acceptable

noted above The epoxy anchors were installed for new holdowns along the common
wall between the garage and the house. Also, due to site conditions epoxy anchors
were also installed to attach the existing sill plate to the concrete stemwall at this same
wall line A total of 13—5/8' diameter epoxy anchors were installed to attach the sill
plate to the existing stemwall The installation of the epoxy anchors was in conformance
with the manufacturer's requirements and was found to be acceptable to this office
It should also be noted that it was found that no footing existed under the proposed
location of the 410 support post in the garage To address this issue the slab was
removed to allow construction of a 26' square x 12" deep pier footing with 444 bars at
the bottom The size of the new footing and its reinforcing was inspected by this office
and found to be acceptable
