Dear Aaron.
In reviewing your sign application, I took careful note of the Sign Ordinance provisions, and found that I hadn't done so during the
first go 'round. I sincerely apologize. The Sign Code provisions that regulate off premise signage has been changed The IH zone
now does not permit any off premise sign to be installed without a conditional use permit. Your proposed sign is very small, but
nevertheless, a conditional use permit is required.
A conditional use permit application requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission. The next public hearing date for the
Planning Commission is April 8th. I can still SQUEEZE a permit on for April 8, but ONLY if I have the application in by Monday
March 16, 5 p.m. because there is a 15 day notice period prior to action.
I have enclosed the CUP permit package. I will do the address labels to help you meet the deadline, but beyond March 16, the next
meeting date possibility will be April 22, with an application deadline of March 23rd. The cost for the CUP process is $850.
Please let me know which way you are going to go. I will be on vacation the week of March 23rd, and we have a big seminar next
week, so timing is vert tight.
Again, I apologize for missing this the first time we communicated. I doubt that there will be any issues we have not addressed,
but the critical issue at this point is the timing.
