1-18 RADIANT HEAT CONTROL
A. SCOPE
Contractor shall furnish and install complete temperature control for the
radiant Treating system in the floor, and the system in the ceiling.
B. MANUFACTURE
shall be Johnson Service Co., or Minneapolis Honeywell or Powers equal.
C: SYSTEM OF CONTROL
for each system shall consist of a pneumatic intermediate acting "Duostat"
in which the surface temperature of .the heating medium is adjusted inversely
in proportion to the outside temperature.
DUOSTAT PANEL
in each case, shall be for use with two thermostats, one at the heating
medium, and one outdoors; for continuous operation at one room temperature.
E. TREE NAY VALVE
diaphragm operated, shall be provided at each circulator, connected to either
-recirculate the water in, the system or to return the water to the returfi main;
shall be operated by the duostat panel.
F. REVERSE ACTION
Operation of valves shall be such as to fully bypass the boiler when air is
off the system.
G. CUTDOOR THERMOSTATS
shall, be located where shown; shall be shielded from the direct rays of the
sun by a shield of proper type for the condition.
H. INDOOR THERMOSTAT
in each case, shall be located on the flow line at the point shown.
I.' SETTING OF INSTRUMENT
inn each case shall be as follows:
For the Floor System: at 18 deg. above zero at the outdoor bulb, 130 deg.
on the indoor bulb; at 70 deg. on the outdeor•bulb, 72 deg. on the indoor bulb
Temperatures between the two po each case shall vary as as inverse
straight line ratio.
LIMITING THERMOSTAT
shall be provided 'for each system, insertion pattern,' installed in the,,,
flat line, just beyond the mixing point ;'shall function to',limit the eater
temperature to a maximum of its setting by taking precedence over the t,
diaphragm operated three -way valve. Setting points shall be as follows:

F. AIR SUPPLY

P. BALANCING OF HEATING SINTER

on a time basis, and a bill will be rendered to the contractor for the amount of
this service. Contractor shall include in his bid the Sum of Two Hundred Twenty Five
Dollard ($225.00} which is to be used as an allowance to cover the 'cost of,balancing
the hot water heating system. Any difference between the cost of tbis'bauthaing
work and•the amount of the allowance shall be added to or deducted .from the
contract amount, as the case may be.
