Jim L. and I discussed this permit today He said there is a sewer issue on this site
I'd like to final this permit as soon as possible Jim said he's ready to sign off on the
house, that he previously gave Jan a temporary C of 0, and that Jan has been living in
the home for a couple of years already Jim is waiting for you to give your public works
final inspection approval before he gives his final building inspection approval If you
need Jan's phone number it is 477 -9307
Please let Jim and me know when you have given your approval If you can't approve it
soon, please update us on the status and your plans and time frame for resolving the
sewer issue

Dear Mr Didrickson
With reference to the sewer line that was discovered running under your residence (430 E. Ahlvers
Road), as you know the old line serves the residence at 432 E. Ahlvers Road Although the City
requested that the newly found line be capped, this action will result in a cessation of sewer service
to 432 E. Ahlvers Road. Without cooperation from that property owner we realize you cannot
disconnect the service, and so it remains.
This letter is to acknowledge that, while you were willing to cap the line, you were notable to do so
without cooperation of the receiving property owner at 432: E. Ahlvers. Road Therefore, 'this letter
is meant to memorialize the previous conversations and actions, and to give notice that, should the
line fail, it is a private line and not the responsibility of the City In the event of failure, the property
owner at 432 E. Ahlvers Road will be required to make a new connection into the 8' line west of
the property to which your new sewer is now connected If the line fails, once the new connection
is made by the neighboring property owner you will need to cap the line at that time
If you have any questions with this information, please don't hesitate to contact this Department.
Once again, this letter is only to notify you and the neighbor of the situation so we can close the file
and final your long overdue building permit.

I have not completed a final inspection on this permit. I will call Jan Didrickson When
the storm drainage for 430 Ahlvers Rd was installed they found that sewer line from the
house to south runs under his new foundation We are requiring that the sewer be
connected at a new location and the old line be abandon and capped at the property
line

The owner, Jan Didrickson 477 -9307, said you did your final Public Works approval on
the above permit. I don't see it in HTE Please enter it.
If you still need to inspect something there, Jan said to call him and he'll meet you
there.

Buildmg Official can extend the time for action by the applicant up to 180 days upon written request by the applicant (see Section
R105.3.2 of the International Building/Residential Code, 2003). No application can be extended more than once.
