Project A (REQUIRED HEALTH AND SAFETY REPAIRS)
0200 l)Complete extermination of powder post beetles and other
wood destroying insects and organisms. Include removal and
re-installation of crawl space insulation.
0400 1)Cellar/crawl space. parge coat the interior foundation
wall around the perimeter of the house.
2)Repair and Parge coat the exterior foundation near the
cellar entry.
3)Front entry. replace the existing concrete steps. Include
installation of a concrete landing at the base of the steps.
'4)Rear entry. Install new rear entry steps. cellar steps.
and retaining wall.
5)Cellar/crawl space. Closeoff the chimney breaching.
6)Install new footings and support posts and hardware
(simpson tie downs) throughout the crawl space to support
the house and eliminate earth/wood contact. Include
installation of new girder beams. footings. support posts.
and simpson tie downs at front and rear of house to provide
adequate support on the exterior bearing walls. Notel
consult with building inspector regarding required tie down
brackets/hardware.

based paint hazard. Adjust doors and drawers for proper
operation.

and sheet vinyl floor covering. Include shim and level
porch/utility floor as much as possible.

plastic laminant or pre-formed fiberglass tub wrap 5' over
the tub.
3)Living room/front entry, Install new pad and carpeting.
Include the front hallway closet.
1500 l)Kitchen. Install a new double tUbUstainless stee~.:or
porcelin sink package with a spray Jozzle. Contractor to
specify material allowance in bid.
2)Bathroom. Install a new bathtub package with a concealed
shower faucet and diverter and trim and fittings. Include a
hand-held shower with a stainless steel flex hose and wall
mount bracket. Relocate the drain lines. venting and supply
lines as necessary to accommodate mirrored (reversed)
bathtub installation.
3)Bathroom. Install a new narrow proft~i 24" vanity sink

1100 l)Bathroom. Install a new ceiling exhaust fan/light
combination and connect to new separate switches to be
located near the doorway. Insure proper venting to the
exterior.
1600 l)Install new hardwired smoke alarms with battery backup
throughout the house to code. Include (1) in the upper attic
area. Alarms to be intertied.

2)Cellar/crawlspace access. Install a new porcelin ceiling
light fixture and connect to a new switch to be located near
the doorway.
3)Cellar/crawlspace access. Install a new properly grounded
3-prong outlet in the ceiling area to replace an existing
outlet.
4)Safe up electrical wiring, outlets, fixtures, junction
boxes and connections throughout the house. All fixtures and
connections to have proper junction boxes. Insure that all
3-prong outlets are properly grounded and that all other
outlets have proper polarity. Insure that panel is properly
wired and labeled.
5)Install new overhead service to the garage. Include
elimination and removal of all knob and tube wiring and fuse
panel in the garage.
6)Garage: Install a new GFI protected outlet on the east
wall to replace and existing outlet.
7)Garage: Install a new outlet on the south wall to replace
an existing outlet.
8)Garage: Rewire the light fixture in the storage area.
Include installation of a new light switch near the storage
doorway.
9)Rear porch. Install a new exterior security light and
connect to a new switch to be located inside the porch
entry.
10)Rear porch/utility area. Rewire the water heater.
II)Kitchen. Install a new ceiling light fixture and connect
to existing switch near the rear entry.
12)Kitchen. Install a new separate circuit and outlet for
the microwave oven.
13)Kitchen. Install (1) additional outlet near the sink.
14)Kitchen. Insure that eXisting outlet near the sink has
GFI protection.
15)Kitchen. Install a new ceiling light fixture and switch
over the kitchen sink.
16)Kitchen. Insure that the existing outlet on the wall near
the range is in proper working condition.

17)Kitchen. Insure that electric baseboard heater on the
west wall is in proper working condition.
18)Bathroom: Insure that existing outlet near the sink has
GFI protection.
19)NW bedroom. Install (2) new outlets. Homeowner to
designate location.

baseboard heater on the north wall.
21)Living room. Relocate the existing outlet on the east
wall.
22)Upper stairwell. Install a new ceiling or wall mount
light fixture and connect to new 3-way switches.
23)Attic sewing and storage area. Install (3) new outlets.
Homeowner to designate location.
24)Living room. Install (3) additional outlets.

damper.

pre-hung door package with a keyed lock. Trim and finish the

living room window.

1500 l)Install new frost proof hose bibs at the south and north
sides of the house to replace two existing faucets.

0600 l)Kitchen. Remove the lower shelf on the wall cabinets (south
wall).
2)Shim and adjust the following doors for proper operation.
bathroom, bedroom, and front entry. Include shimming,
leveling, planing, and new door knobs (privacy lock for
bathroom). Homeowner retains salvage rights to all glass door
knobs.
3)Shim and adjust the front entry closet door. Include
installation of a new passage door knob and striker plate.
4)NW bedroom. Retrim the interior of the bedroom window.
Homeowner to complete stain and finish or painting.
0800 l)Kitchen. Install a new steel insulated door and frame at the
rear utility room entry. Door to match the rear porch door.
Eliminate the threshold and level the floor as much as
possible. Install a new lock to match rear entry lock. Trim
and finish the interior and exterior. Homeowner to stain and
finish or paint the door and trim.
Note, all doors to be keyed alike.
