AN ORDINANCE creating a City Planning Commission in the City
of Port Angeles.

Section I. There is hereby created in the City of Fort An-
geles a City Planning Commission.
Section II. The said commission shall consist of five mem-
bers of which the city engineer and the city attorney shall be ex-
officio members; the other three members shall be appointed by the
Commission to serve for the period of three years, provided, how-
ever, that the first members appointed hereunder shall serve for one,
two and three years respectively.
Section III. The City Commission reserves the right to re-
move from office, for cause, any member of said Planning Commission
and to appoint a successor or successors to fill the vacancy creat-
ed by said removal.
Section IV. The duties of the City Planning Commission

shall be to make recommendations to the City Commission of the City
of Port Angeles for the zoning and districting of the City of Port
Angeles; to recommend rules governing the classification and type of
structures to be erected in the various zones and districts; to rec-
ommend the creation and extensions of parks and park ways; to pre -
pare and present comprehensive plans for the development and beaut-
ifying of the City of Port Angeles, and to exercise such other and
further powers as may from time to time by ordinance be vested in
• the City Planning Commission.
Section V. None of the members of the City Planning Commis-
sion shall receive compensation for their services except the com-
pensation provided by ordinance for the city engineer and the city
attorney.
Section VI. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and approval, and from and after thirty days after
its lawful publication.
Passed first reading by the City Commission, September 29, 1926,
Passed second reading -by the City Commission, October 30, 1926,
Passed third reading and finally passed and adopted by the City Com-
mission, October -act 1926.
Approved and signed by the 'Mayor this 20 day of October,
1926.
