ORDINANCE NO. .
AN ORDINANCE declaring the existence of an emergency by
reason of a peremptory writ of mandate issued out of the Superior
Court of the State of washington in and for Clallam County, stating
the estimated amount of money necessary to meet such emergency, au-
�, z ng the issuance of an emergency warrant against the current
expense fund of the City of Port Angeles and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITz OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. &at P� J. Wold and Pearl G. Wold, his wife,
filed in the Superior,.of the State of Washington in and for Clallam
County, their application for an alternative writ of mandate direct -
ed to W. B. Hedrick, as Mayor and Commissioner of the City of Port
Angeles, and Eloise C. Morison, as City Clerk of the said City, as
respondents, being cause No. 5202 of the above entitled Court.
Secfon II. That such proceedings were had in said Court
and cause.that on the 23rd day of May, 1927, a peremptory writ of
mandate issued out of the above entitled Court commanding and enjoin-
ing the said respondents to immediately draw a warrant on the Treasur-
er of the City of Port Angeles, payable out of the current expense
fund of said city to P. J. Wold and Pearl G. Wold, his wife, in the
sum of $1150.00 and interest thereon at the rate of six per cent per
annum from the 15th day of April, 1925, and for the costs of the said
action taxed in the sum of $24.20.
Section III. That the estimated amount of money necessary
to meet such emergency is the sum of $ 1 3 I)

Section IV. That by reason of the facts above set forth,
an emergency exists as defined in Chapter 158, Section 6, Laws of
Washington of 1923, which could. not have reasonably been foreseen at
the time of making the current budget, and which emergency is now

hereby declared to exist.
Section V. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Port Angeles be and they are hereby authorized to sign, execute and
issue an emergency warrant upon the current expense fund of the City

and Pearl G. Wold, his wife.
Section VI. That by reason of the emergency heretofore
declared and under the provisions of Chapter 158, Section 6, Laws of
Washington of 1923, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from -and after its passage, approval and publication.
