AN ORDINANCE approving and - confirming the assessments and as-
sessment roll in and for Local Improvement District No. 127, created un-
der Ordinance No. 869, approved March 6, 1929, ordering and providing
for the following described improvements in the following described por-
tions of streets in the City of, Port Angeles, To Wit: The installation-
of an ornamental street lighting system, consisting of approximately
ninety -six light standards of the approximate height of sixteen feet
each, with all the necessary transformers, cable, wire, switches and
approximately 4,375 linear feet of conduit, et cetera, to complete the
system upon the following described portions of the following named
streets, to wit: On both sides of Front Street from the westerly margin
of Oak Street to the easterly margin of Lincoln Street; on both sides of
First Street from the westerly margin of Oak Street to the easterly mar-
gin of Lincoln Street; on the East side of'Oak Street from the northerly
margin of First Street to the Southerly margin of Front Street; on both

sides of Laurel Street from the northerly margin of First Street to the
southerly margin of Railroad Avenue; and on both sides of Lincoln Street
from the northerly margin of Third Street-to the southerly margin of
Front Street. The said lighting system to be of multiple type, divided
into eight circuits; the light standards to be of the design shown on
the drawings in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Port An-
geles, together with all necessary material on each standard, and all
conduit, wires, equipment, material and labor necessary and suitable to
complete said improvement; all in accordance with improvement resolution
No. 127 of the City of Port Angeles, and in accordance with maps, plans
and specifications prepared4by °the City Engineer and the city Electrician
and on file in the office of the said Engineer and approved and adopted
by the City Commission; ordering the levy and collection of such assess-
ments, creating and establishing a special fund for said district, and
ordering that said assessments be paid into said special fund.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

Section I. That the assessments and assessment -roll for Local
Improvement District No. 127, created by Ordinance No. 869, approved
March 6, 1929, which said ordinance ordered and provided for the follow-
410 ing described improvements in the following described portions of streets
in the City of Port Angeles, to wit: The installation of an ornamental
street lighting system, consisting of approximately ninety -six light
standards of the approximate height of sixteen feet each, with all the
necessary transformers, cable, wire, switches and approximately 4,375
linear feet of conduit, et cetera, to complete the system upon the follow-
ing named streets., to wit: On both sides of Front Street from the wes-
terly margin of Oak Street to the easterly margin of Lincoln Street; on
both sides of First Street frown the westerly margin of Oak 'Street to' the
easterly margin of Lincoln Street; on the East side of Oak Street from
the northerly margin of First Street to the Southerly margin of Front
Street; on both sides of Laurel Street from the northerly margin of
First Street to the Southerly margin of Railroad Avenue; and on both
sides of Lincoln 'Street from the northerly margin of Third Street to the
Southerly margin of Front Street. The said lighting system to be of mul-
tiple type, divided into eight circuits; the light standards to be of the

City of Port Angeles, together with all necessary material on each stan-
dard, and all conduit, wires, equipment, material and labor necessary and
suitable to complete said improvement; all in accordance with improvement
resolution No. 127 of the City of Port Angeles, and in accordance with
maps, plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and the City
Electrician, and on file in the office of the said Engineer and approved
and adopted by the City Commission; and which said ordinance created a
local improvement district and provided for payment for said improvement
by method of `payment by bonds "; as said assessment roll now stands, as
revised, changed, raised, 1 ®veered and modified by the City Commission
sitting as a Board of Equalization thereon theft day of
1929, according to regular notice thereof and the ordinances of said city,
• without interest at any time within thirty days from the date of the
and in accordance with the findings and order of said Board then and
there made, be and the same are hereby in all respects approved and con -
firmed in all things.
Section II. That each lot, tract and parcel of land shown up-
on said assessment roll, is hereby declared specially benefitted by said
improvement in at least the amount charged against the same, and that the
assessments appearing against the same is in proportion to the several
assessments appearing upon said roll, and there is hereby levied and as-
sessed against each said lot, tract or parcel of land appearing on said
roll the amount actually charged and assessed therein upon and against
the same.
Section III. That there is hereby created and established for
said Local Improvement District No. 127, a special fund to be known and
designated as Local Improvement District No..127 for the uses and pur-
poses provided it such case by law and ordinances of said city.
Section IVY. That said assessments or any of them, ,may be paid
first publication of the City Treasurerts notice to pay the same as re-
quired by law to be given; and all assessments not paid within said per-
iod of thirty days shall thereafter be paid in ten equal annual install-
ments with interest thereon at the rate of seven per cent per annum.
Section v. That immediately upon the taking effect of this
ordinance, said assessment roll shall be turned over and delivered to
the City Treasurer, for the collection thereof, who, shall thereupon pro-
• ceed to collect the same according to law.
Section VI. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
when it shall have been passed by the City Commission, approved by the
Mayor, attested by the City Clerk, approved by the City Attorneys, and
from and after five days after its publication in the official newspaper
of said city, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause the same to
be so published.
