(yz AN ORDINANCE vacating certain alleys and portions of streets in the City of Port Angeles and declaring an emergency, said alleys and portions of streets being described as follows, to -wit: 1. Alley in Block 3 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision. All of the alley in Block 3 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles. 2, Portion of Water Street. All that portion of Water Street lying between Block 14 of Norman R.Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles and Block 2 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision of said Townsite, and north- westerly of a line described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of said Water Street which point is 50 feet southeasterly measured perpendicularly from the center line of the main line track of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad Company; thence northerly along a line drawn at right angles to said south line of Water Street, 35 feet to the center line of said Street; thence northeasterly along a straight line to the southeast corner of Lot 6 in said Block 14, said point being on the north -line of Water Street, the portion to be vacated being all of Water Street lying between the above described line and vacated Chambers Street. 3. Alley in Block 14 of Smith's_Subdivision. All of the alley in Block 14 of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the .)tri2b of Port Angeles. 4. Portion of Tones Street. All that portion of Tones Street now remaining unvacated, lying northeasterly of a straight line drawn from the southwest corner of Lot 9 in Block 15 of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles to the northeast corner of Lot 9 in Block 14 of said Subdivision, -being all of Tones Street lying between the above line and vacated Victoria Street. 5. Portion of Yeoman Street., All that portion of Yeoman Street lying northwesterly of the westerly line of vacated Liberty Street, being 'all of Yeoman Street lying between vacated Liberty Street and vacated Victoria Street. 6. Alley in Block 13 of Smith's Subdivision. All of the alley in Block 13 of Norman H. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles. • 7. Portion of Railroad Avenue. All that portion of Railroad Avenue now remaining unvacated lying between the easterly line of Francis Street an the west and the city limits of the City of Port Angeles on the east. • • • THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That upon the petition duly signed and filed by the owners of more than two- thirds of the property abutting upon the streets, alleys and parts thereof hereinafter described and upon which petition due, legal and timely notice of hearing was given and hearing thereafter duly had, the following streets aid parts of streets, alleys and parts of alleys in the City of Port Angeles as prayed for in said petition, be and the same are hereby vacated, to-wit: 1. Alley in Block 3 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision. All of the alley in Block 3 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles. 2. Portion of Water Street. All -that portion of Water Street lying between Block 14 of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles and Block 2 of Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Subdivision of said Townsite, and north- westerly of a line described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of said Water Street which point is 50 feet southeasterly measured perpendicularly from the center line of the main line track of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St.Paul & Pacific Railroad Company; thence northerly along a line drawn at right angles to said south line of Water Street, 35 feet to the center line of said Street; thence northeasterly along a straight line to the southeast corner of Lot 6 in said Block 14, said point being on the north line of dater Street, the portion to be vacated being all of Water Street lying between the above described line and vacated Chambers Street. -2 - • • • d 3. All-that portion of Jones Street now remaining unvacated, lying northeasterly of a 'straight line drawn from the southwest corner of Lot 9 in Block 15 of Norman R.Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles to the northeast corner of Lot 9 in Block 14 of said Subdivision, being all of Jones Street lying between the above line and vacated Victoria Street. 5. Portion of Yeoman Street. All that portion of Yeoman Street lying northwesterly of the Westerly line of vacated Liberty Street, being all of Yeoman Street lying between vacated. Liberty Street and vacated Victoria Street, 6. Alley in Block 13 of Smith's Subdivision. All of the alley in Block'l3 of Norman R. Smith's Subdivision of the Townsite of Port Angeles. 7. Portion of Railroad Avenue. All that portion of Rail- road Avenue now remaining unvacated lying between the easterly line of Francis Street on.the west and the city limits of the City of Port Angeles•on the east. Section 2. This ordinance is declared to be urgent and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of said City of Port Angeles and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon and from and after its passage, approval and lawful publication.
