AN ORDINANCE adopting and approving the city budget of and
for the City of Port Angeles for the fiscal year 1931, and declaring an
emergency.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the city budget of and for the City of Port An-
geles for the fiscal year 1931, as prepared by the City Clerk of said
city, and as amended and determined by sa d City Commission meeting and
having full hearing thereon upon thet f day of October, 1930, accord-
ing to legal and regular notice of such meeting and hearing, and in ac-
cordance with law, and each and every item thereof as so finally amended
fixed and determined by said City Commission, be and the same is now here-
by adopted, approved and confirmed.
Section II. That appropriation be and is hereby made and allow-
ed for each of the classes named and set forth in Section 4 of Chapter
158 of 1923 Session Laws of the State of Washington, in accordance with
and as set forth in said budget as so finally fixed and determined as
follows:
Salaries and wages, $123,426.00
Maintenance and operation, 156,304.00
Capital outlays, 36,420.00
Interest and Debt Redemption, 139,875.00
Bonds and Warrants not yet authorized, 430,000.00
Total, $886,025.00
Section III. There is urgent necessity and emergency for the
passage and adoption and taking effect of this ordinance for the imme-
diate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, which urgency
and emergency is now hereby stated and declared. Therefore, this ordin-
ance shall take effect and be in full force and effect, from and after
and immediately upon its passage, approval and lawful publication.
Passed first reading by the City Commission, October 8, 1930.
Passed second reading by the City Commission, October 15, 1930.
Passed third reading and adopted by the City Commission, October 15, 1930.
Approved and signed by the Mayor this 45-3 day of October,
1930.
