AN ORDINANCE declaring the existence of an emergency by reason of a deficiency of the funds in the Water Department of the City of Port Angeles; stating the facts constituting such emergency; stating the amount of money necessary to meet such emergency; authorizing the issuance of emergency warrants against the Water fund of the City of Port Angeles, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That there is a deficiency in the available ld..L,aF- funds of the Water Department for the year 1930, necessary and requisite to meet the expenses for wages, repairs and new service extensions, con- nections and mains. Section 2. That the estimated amount of money necessary to meet • such emergency and to make the necessary expenditures incurred in connec- tion w th the maintenance and upkeep of the City Water system, is the sum I/ aoe,4d of $ F--'. =•, which said sum is made up of the following items, to wit: Wages, 7x00.00 Repairs to motor equipment, 500.00 New service and mains, 7500.00 Section 3. That by reason of the facts hereinbefore cited and set forth, a public emergency exists which could not with reasonable dili- gence have been foreseen at the time of making the current budget, which emergency is hereby declared to exist. Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles be and they are hereby authorized to sign, execute and issue emer- gency warrants against the Water Fund of the City of Port Angeles in an aaa. aa' amount not to exceed $ , for the purpose of making the necessary expenditures in connection with the maintenance and upkeep of the City Water system. Section 5. That by reason of the facts hereinbefore set forth and of the emergency declared, and for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the City of Port Angeles and its inhabitants this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its pass- age, approval and lawful publication.
