ORDINANCE NO. rt/
AN ORDINANCE declaring the existence of an emergency by reason
of the fact that the proper maintenance or repair of the streets of
f3ort Angeles and the interests of public health and safety require
the 'expenditure of certain sums ofmoney by the Street Department;
stating the facts constituting such an emergency; stating the esti-
mated amount of money necessary and required to meet such emergency
and authorizing the expenditure of money therefor, and the issuance
of emergency warrants against the Current Expense Fund of the City
of Port Angeles, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOTS:
Section 1. That the following facts constituting an emergency
be and said facts are hereby stated, to -wit: That in order to ef-
fectually preserve the public health and safety and 'roperly and
safely maintain the streets of the City of Port Angeles for traffic
and properly and effectually repair such streets, it is necessary
that certain expenditures be made for labor on the streets and that
the estimated expense for such labor is the sum of Two thousand Dollars.
Section 2. That an emergency exists by reason of and on account
of the facts stated in Sec. 1 of this ordinance and that said emer-
ency be and the same is hereby declared to exist.
Section 3. That the estimated amount of money necessary to
pay for the performance of said labor and to meet the said emergency
as above stated is the sum of Two thousand Dollars, properly charge-
able to and payable from the Current Expense Fund of the City of Port
Angeles.
Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Port
Angeles be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sign, exe-
cute, issue and deliver emergency warrants upon and payable from
and out of the Current Expense Fund for expenditures properly to
be made out of said fund not exceeding the said sum of Two thousand
Dollars to be used in meeting the emergency above stated.

Section 5. That an emergency exists by reason of the facts above
set forth which makes urgent and necessary the passage and adoption
and the immediate going into effect of this ordinance, for the ii-
mediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the
City and the inhabitants thereof and such emergency and urgency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after and immediately upon its passage and law-
ful publication. ��
