". 1 k:' An Ordinance amending Section 1 of OrdInarsce too. 023 entitled, An Ordinance providing for a minimum Wage rate for all persons • employed by the City of Port Angeles or on local or other improve - ment work done under contract with said city; providing for cer- tain preferences in the employment on all such work; prescribing 1 the duties of the Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements with reference thereto; defining offenses and providing penalties therefor; and declaring an-emergency. TIC CITY COMMISSION OF TIE CITY'OF RT ANGEL S DOES ORDAI'T AS FOLLO77S: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance Vol 9.28 .of the City of Port Angeles be amended to read as follows, to wit "Section 1. It shall be unallful either directly or indirectly, to paty or cause to be paid to employes of the City of Port Angeles or employes working Can connection_with or upon any local or other improvement work being done under.contract for or with the City of Port Angeles any wage less than Two and 50/100 ($2.50) Dollars per day for each Eig}t (8) hour day." Section 2. This ordinance is declared to be urgent and neces- sary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants and citizens of the City of Port Angeles and shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage, approval and lawful publication. Passed first reading by the City Commission July 29, 1932. Passed second reading by the City Commission July 29, 1932. Passed third reading and finally passed and approved by the City Com- mission July 6th, 1932. Approved and signed by the Mayor tRitt -1 6th, 1932. Attest: City Clerk.
