THE CITY OMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1(a) On First Street between Lincoln and Peabody Streets, motor and other vehicles shall perk on the northerly side thereof and at an angle of forty -five degrees from the curb with the forward end of said vehicle toward and against the curb; Provided, however, that no vehicles shall park on the northerly side of First Street for a distance of one hi}ndred feet easterly from theeast margin of Lincoln Street. (b) No motor or other vehicle shall perk .on the southerly side _ _p„FiT ta,r_et between Lincoln and Peabody Streets. fc) On First Street easterly from Peabody Street, parking of all vehicles shall be parallel to and against the curb on both sides of said street and there shall be no parking in the center of the street at any point on First Street. (d) There shall be no parking in front of any regularly estab- lished driveway to industrial or business plante, nor within twenty - five feet of any street corner intersection, nor within twenty -five feet of any city water hydrant. Section 2. No motor or other vehicle measuring more than ----- from. the forward edge of -the front wheel to the extreme ear point or projection of the vehicle chassis, body, and /or its load, shall park on the following portions of streets, to wit: Front Street between Oak and Lincoln Streets; First Street between Oak and Peabody Streets; Oak Street from Front Street to First Street; Laurel Street from Railroad Avenue fo First Street; Lincoln Street from Front Street to Third Street; Provided, however, that such vehicles, for the pnwpose of loading or unloading, shall be allcwed to • • • Ok or back again t the curb on such portions of said streets for a period of not to exceed fifteen minutes. Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any car to "double park", as the phrase ie commonly known, or to stop an automobile in the travelled portions of any of the parts of the streets described in Section 2 above, or to stop an automobile outside -and toward the center of the street from the line of parked cars, whether or not t any person remains inside of the' automobile. Portions of ordinance No. 779 and otter ordinances, or portions of other ordinancesA in conflict with this ordinance, are hereby repealed. ' Section 6. This ordinance is declared to be urgent and neces- sary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of the inhabitants and people of the City of Port Angeles, and shall take effect and be in fotce from and after its passage, approval and lawful publication.
