ORDINANCE NO. 1032
1 , AN ORDINANCE Confirming the estimate of expenditures for the City of
2 1 Port Angeles for the year 1937, and fixing tax levies for said year 1937 as
3 heretofore made and levied by the City Commission meeting and sitting for that
• 4 , purpose on the 5th day of October, 1936, and declaring an emergency.
5 + Jolt CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGF'LFS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 Section 1. That the estimate of expenditures for the levy;of taxes
7 1 made by the City Commission as a body for that purpose on the 5th day of October,

8 1936, be and the same is hereby confirmed, and there is hereby fixed and levied
• 9 for the City and its districts for the year 1937 upon all property, both real
10 i and personal, subject to taxation for the several funds, shown herein, and upon

11 1 each and every dollar of the assessed valuation thereof, as shown by the records

of assessments in the office of the County Assessor in and for Clallam County,
13 Washington, to -wit:

23 Section 2. That all said taxes are necessary levies and needed to

24 raise sufficient revenue to maintain said City, its districts and several depart-
25 ' ments for the year 1937, commencing January 1, 1937, and ending December 31,

26 1 1937, and said taxes are hereby levied proportionately in said city and each
27 said district respectively in accordance with their joint and several needs and
28• liabilities as shown upon the assessment roll of said Clallam County, as finally
29 fixed and equalized by the Board of Equalization of said County and State and
30 . extended upon the assessment rolls of said County, showing the property within
31 said City subject to taxation and municipal purposes as therein certified by the

County Assessor of said County according to law.
Section 3. There is urgent necessity and emergency for the passage
3 and adoption and taking effect of this ordinance for the immediate preservation
4 of the public peace, health and safety, which urgency and emergency is now hereby
5 stated and declared. Now, therefore, this ordinance shall take effect and be in
6 full force and effect from and after and immediately upon its passage, approval
7 and lawful publication.
8 Passed first reading by the City Commission October 7, 1936.
