HomeMy WebLinkAbout1033• 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1033 AN ORDINANCE setting forth an emergency affecting the public health 2 : and safety; requiring expenditures unforeseen; provinding for the issuance of 3 emergency warrants; and declaring an emergency making the ordinance immediately 4 effective. 5 THE CITY CONK ISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGFT.ES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 ! Section 1. That because of changes in the methods required in securing 7 labor in certain departments of the City, which changes were not and could not 8 have been anticipated at the time of preparing the budgets for certain of the • 9 I Current Expense Funds and for the Park Fund, the amounts provided in Current 10 Expense budgets for certain departments and for the Park Fund are not sufficient 11 and the amounts required in excess of the funds available are as follows: 12 i Current Expense $1,270.00 13 j Park Fund 30.00 14 II Section 2. That the expenditures made in excess of the amount of the 15 budgets were for the protection and safety of the inhabitants of the City; 16 + Section 3. That by reason of the facts stated, an emergency is hereby 17 1 declared to exist which will require the issuance of emergency warrants to pro- 18 vide for the said expenditures in amounts required, the payment of such warrants 19 to be considered in the preparation and adoption of budgets for the respective . • 20 1 departments; 21 Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to 22 execute, sign and deliver emergency warrants upon the Current Expense funds for 23 ' the required expenditures not to exceed the sums mentioned in Section 1 hereof; 24 Section 5.
