HomeMy WebLinkAbout1043• • • • 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1043 1 AN ORDINANCE creating and establishing a Board of Trustees of the Port 2 l Angeles Firemens' Relief and Pension Fund, fixing its powers, Duties and Members, 3 1 creating a Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, and adopting and approving Chapter 4 ; 39 of the Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1935 and all laws of the 5 1 State of Washington unplicable thereto, and declaring an emergency. 6 THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT aNCET.RS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 7 1 Section 1. That there is hereby created and established in the City of 8 Port Angeles a Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund consist- . 9 P ing of six paid members of said fire department, to be elected by ballot by the 10 paid firemen, for the terms provided by law, tog,ther with three persons holding 11 'office therein, other than the mayor and clerk, who shall be elected as trustees 12 of the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund of said city by the other members of the 13 board of trustees. 14 Section 2. There is hereby created in the treasury of the City of Port 15 . Angeles, Washington, a Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, into which shall be paid 16 money as designated in Section 14, Chapter 39, of the Session Laws of 1935 and /or 17 other provisioes of the law. 18 1 19 ton for 1935, relating to firemen's relief and pension funds, and all laws of the Section 3. For the well -being and good of the City of Port ,.nseles, Washington, and for the protection of its inhabitants and property, and for the protection of the lives, interests and well -being of the members of the fire depart- 1 + 26 ment, an emergency is hereby declared to exist requiring thin ordinance to take 27 28 29 30 31 effect and be in force immediately upon its passege, aperovol and publication, as provided by law.
