HomeMy WebLinkAbout1051• • • ORDINANCE NO. /42°57/ 1 AN ORDINANCE stating facts constituting an emergency, requiring expend - 2 itures which could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of making the 3 budget: declaring an emergency and providing for the issuance of emergency warrants; 4 THE CITY COlt+h'FISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 5 Section 1. That because it is necessary to acquire certain lots not own- 6 ed by the City of Port Angeles, included in the recreational play ground develop- 7 Iment, particularly described as Block One (1), Two (2), Three (3) and Four (4) of 8 !Doyle's Subdivision of Suburban Lot Twenty (20) of the Towneite of Port Angeles 9 and lying East of Race Street between Second and Fourth Streets; and because the 10 !necessity of acquiring the said lots was not and could not have been anticipated 11 iat the time of preparing the budget for the Park Fund, the amount provided for the 12 !Park Fund is not sufficient and the amount required in excess of the funds avail - 13 ;able is the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) 14 15 rthe budget are to meet the actual necessary expenditures of the Port Angeles Park { 16 'Department for which no appropriation has been made due to cuases which could not 17 ' ressonably have been foreseen at the time of the making of the budget. Section 2. That the expenditures to be made in excess of the amount of 18 Section 3. That by reason of the facts stated, an emergency is hereby 19 wdeclered to exist, which will require the issuance of emergency warrants to provide • 20 for the said expenditures in the amount above stated. 21 Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to ex- i 22 Lecute, sign and deliver emergency warrants upon the Park Fund for the required 23 expenditures not to exceed the sum mentioned in Section 1, hdreof. 24 Section 5.
