HomeMy WebLinkAbout1053• • ORDINANCE NO. 1053 AN ORDINANCE Confirming the estimate of expenditures for the City of 1 { Port Angeles for the year 1939, and fixing tax levies for said year 1939 as 2 ! heretofore made and levied by the City Commission meeting and sitting for that 3 purpose on the 3rd day of October, 1938, and declaring an emergency. 4 5 6 7 9 4 THE CITY C012"ISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the estimate of expenditures for the levy of taxes made by the City Commission as a body for that purpose on the 3rd day of October, 1938, be and the same is hereby confirmed, and there is hereby fixed and levied for the City and its districts for the year 1939 upon all property, both real and personal, subject to taxation for the several funds, shown herein, and upon 10 each and every dollar of the assessed valuation thereof, as shown by the records 11 of assessments in the office of the County Assessor in and for Clallam Cour}ty, 12A Washington, to -wit: 13 E FUND MILLS AMOUNT 14 City Street 10.75 $51,600.00 15 Library 1.50 7,200.00 16 Park 1. 4,800.00 17 8th Street Bridge Bonds 1.55 7,440.00 18 Firemen's Relief and Pension ,20 960.00 19 P.A. Gen. Obligation Warrant and Interest 1. 4,800.00 • 20 L.I.D. Guaranty Bonds 1.36 6,528.00 21 Totals 17.36 83,328.00 22 Section 2. That all said taxes are necessary levies and needed to 23 ..raise sufficient revenue to maintain said City, its districts and several depart- 1 24 ments for the year 1959, commencing January 1, 1939, and ending December 31, 1939, • 25 and said taxes are hereby levied proportionately in said city and each said 26 district respectively in accordance with their joint and several needs and 27 liabilities as shown upon the assessment roll of said Clallan County, as finally 28 fixed and equalized by ,the Board of Equalization of said County and State and 29 ' extended upon the assessment rolls of said County, showing the property within • 30 said City subject to taxation and municipal purposes as therein certified by the 31 i County »ssessor of said County according to law. Section 3. There is urgenct necessity and emergency for the passage 1 and adoption and taking effect of this ordinance for the immediate preservation 2 of the public peace, health and safety, which urgency and emergency is now hereby k 3 stilted and declared. Now, therefore, this ordinance shall take effect and be in 4 ' full force and effect from and after and immediately upon its passage, approval s � 5 and lawful publication. 6 k Passed first reading by the City Commission October 5, 1958. 7 j Passed second reading by the City Commission October 5, 1938. 8 Passed third reading and adopted by the City Commission October y.3, 1938.! • 9 r Approved.
