THE CITY C017!ISSIOI, OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That because of unexpected costs of supplies for the re- gistration of voters and supplies and records for the use of the Civil Service Commission for the Police and Fire Departments and other items for the Police and Fire Departments and additional costs on account of the development and improve- ment of certain streets, which were not and could not have been anticipated at the time of preparing the budgets for certain departments in the Current Expense Fund and the City Street Fund, the amounts provided for in the Current Expense Fund and the City Street Find . are not sufficient and the amounts required in excess of the funds available are as follows: Current Expense Fund 0 2,663.00 City Street Fund 4,025.00 16 Section 2. That the expenditures ride in exceee of the amount of the .17 budgets were for the protection and s_,fety of the inhabitants of the city: 18 Section 3. That by reason of the facts stated, an emergency is hereby 19 ! declared to exit rhichwill require the issuance of emergency warrants to pro - 20 I vide for the said expenditures in amounts required, the payment of such warrants 21 to be considered in the preparation 4nd adoption of budgets for the respective 22 , departments; 23 . Section 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to 24 25 26 27 execute, sign and deliver emergency warrants upon the Current Expense and City Street Funds, for the required expenditures not to exceed the sums mentioned in 1Section 1, hereof; Section 5.
