ORDINANCE NO. 106&
1 1 AN ORDINANCE granting to Sewerage & Drainage District No. 1 of
2 Clallam County, Washington, its successors and assigns, the right to lay sewer
3 I pipes for the drainage and conveyance of water in and along certain streets,
4 alleys and public places in the City of Port Angeles.
5 THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 Section 1. That there be and is hereby granted unto Sewerage &

Drainage District No. 1 of Clailam County, Washington, its successors and ass-
igns, the right, privilege, license and authority to excavate for and lay,
maintain and use, sewer pipes for the drainage and conveyance of water, in, over,
along and across the following described portions of streets, alleys and public
places in the City of Port Angeles, to-wit;
Beginning at the east margin of Cherry Street and the
Boulevard and running east in the Boulevard 30' North of
the south line thereof to a point 28' West of the East
margin of Francis Street; thence north on Francis Street
on a line 28' West of the East margin of Francis Street
to the location of the present city trunk sewer which now
extends from the Port Angeles Harbor south on Francis
Street to a manhole opposite the alleys between Third &
Fourth Streets;
together with the right to excavate, lay and maintain necessary pipes for all
22 intersecting sewer lines to connect with the trunk line along said Boulevard
'
23 and the right to connect with and use the said trunk line sewer belonging to
24 I the City of Port Angeles on Francis Street north of the manhole opposite the alley
25 between Third and Fourth Streets.
26 Section 2. The said Sewerage and Drainage District No. 1 of Clailam
27 County, Washington, is hereby granted the right and authority to excavate said
28 streets, alleys and public places of the City of Port Angeles for the purpose of
29 laying said pipes and for any necessary purpose in the maintenance thereof,
30 during the time said sewer system may be used and the said Improvement District
31 shall repair all damage done to said streets caused by laying, operating or main-

tainix;g said sewer system and shall be responsible for any and all damage acc-
essioned to said city by reason thereof.
Section S. There is an urgent necessity and emergency for the passage
and adoption and - taking effect of this ordinance for the mediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety, which urgency and emergency are now
hereby stated and declared. Now, therefore, this ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force and effect from and after and immediately upon itr p'eeage,
approval and 1 wfu1 publication.
