1 AN ORDINANCE adopting and approving the City budget of and for the city of
2 Port Angeles for the fiscal year, 1941, and declaring an emergency.
3 THE CITY CODUISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
4 Section 1. That the City budget of and for the City of Port Angeles for the
5 lilacal year, 1941, as prepared by the City Clerk of said city, and as amended and
6 determined by said City Commission meeting and having full hearing thereon upon
7 the 7th day of October, 1940, according to legal and regular notice of such meet-
8 king and hearing, and in accordance with law, and each and every item thereof as eo
• 9 'finally amended, fixed and determined by said City Commission, be and the same is
10 hereby adopted, approved and confirmed.
11 Section 2. That appropriation be and is hereby made and allowed for each of
12 the classes named and set forth in Section 4 of Chapter 158 of the 1923 Session
13 Laws of the State of Washington, in accordance with and as set forth in acid
14 'budget as so finally fixed and determined as follows:
15 1 Salaries and wages 167,040.00
16 Maintenance and Operation 217,385.00
17 Capital Outlay 5,185.00
18 Interest and Debt Redemption 168,863.60
19 Total 558,473.60
• 20 Section 3. There is urgent necessity and emergency for the passage and
21 adoption and taking effect of this ordinance for the immediate preservation of
22 ;tine public peace, health and safety, which urgency and emergency is now hereby
23 stated and declared. Therefore this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
24 force and effect from and after and immediately upon ite passage, approval and
25 lawful publication.
26 Passed first reading by the City Commission October he 1940.
27 Passed second reading by the City Commission October /4, 1940.
28 Passed third reading and adopted by the City Commission October 23, 1940.
29 Approved and signed by the Mayor this th day of October, 1940.
