That Ordinances No. 867, No. 976, No. 983 and No. 1057 of the 6 7 'City of Port Angeles be and the same are hereby repealed. 8 Section 2. That Section 14 of Ordinance No. 778 of the City of Port Angeles • 9 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 10 4 "Section 14. Should it be desired to discontinue the use of water supplied to • • 11 any premises, written notice must be filed with the Superintendent on or before the i E 12 I5th of the month, which notice shall be on the printed forms provided by the Super -1 13 'intendent for that purpose, and payment in full for all arrears must first be made. 14 The water will then be turned off and turned on again on application without 15 charge; provided, however, no remission in rates shall be made for a period of less 16 than two weeks nor without the notice prescribed in this section." 17 Section 3. That Section 39 of Ordinance No. 778 of the City of Port Angeles 18 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 19 "Section 39. The monthly rates for use of water other than measured by meter 1 20 shall be known as "Fixed Rates ", and shall be as follows: 21 j 22 + Base Rate 1.60 For this Base Rate customer shall be entitled to yard faucets and to one cold 23 and one hot water tap, in connection with one sink and one lavatory. For each 24 'connection to City Service, not less than the Base Rate shall be charged and in 25 'addition thereto the following rates shall be charged and imposed: 26 For each bath (tub, shower or combination) •4 .25 27 For each toilet .30 28 ( For each public urinal .55 29 i For each extra lavatory or sink with faucet .15 30 For each set of laundry fixtures with faucet .15 31 The minimum monthly charge for water supplied at Fixed Rates shall be as • 1 follows: 2 For 3/4" or smaller service connection $ 1.60 3 For 1" service connection 2.85 • 4 For 12" service connection 3.60 5 For 2}1 service connection 6.10 r 6 For 3" service connection 12.50 7 For 4" service connection 18.75 t 8 1 The City Current Expense Fund shall pay for water service as follows: 1 • 9 1 For each fire hydrant, per month a 3.00 Y ` s 10 ! For each flush tank for sewer flushing, per month 1.50 11 12 For all other purposes the charges per month shall be the same as those charged (private consumers. 13 The minimum monthly charge for water supplied through a meter shall be as 14 ,follows: 15 1 For a 3/4" or smaller meter $ 1.75 i I 16 For a 1" meter 3.00 i 17 1 For a 1f I meter 3.75 18 For a 2" meter 6.25 I I 19 For a 3" meter 12.50 • 20 For a 4" meter 18.75 21 For a 6" meter 37.50 22 The rates for water supplied through a meter shall be as follows per month or 23 fractional part thereof: 24 Per 100 III 25 First 3000 cubic feet or less Cu. Ft. .25 26 Next 2000 cubic feet or less .13 27 Next 20000 cubic feet or less .10 28 Next 50000 cubic feet or less .08 29 Next 25000 cubic feet or less .07 • 30 Next 25000 cubic feet or less .05 31 All over 125000 cubic feet .03 • 1 Section 4. That Section 40 of Ordinance No. 778 of the City of Port Angeles 2 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 3 "Section 40. All fixed rates shall be paid in advance and shall be due and 4 i payable at the office of the City Treasurer, without notice to the consumer, on thel 5 ;first day of each month for the current month. All charges for metered service 6 k shall be due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer, without notice to 7 the consumer, on the first day of the month for the month preceding. Should an 8 laccount not be paid before the 21st day of the month in which it becomes due, the • 9 City Treasurer shall notify the Superintendent who shall immediately shut off water 10 'from the premises and it shall not again be turned on until all arrears are paid, j (together with a fee of 01.00 for the turning on of the water. 11 12 "When the bills for metered service are rendered to consumers other than the 13 owner of the property, the consumer shall make a cash deposit with the City Trees - 14 hirer equal to approximately two months charges based upon the estimate for the 15 'monthly consumption through said meter, but in no case shall deposit be less than 16 .t5.00, which deposit shall be held by the City Treasurer until the severance of the. 17 'contract, and shall be repaid to the consumer after all claims against the premises' 18 'shall have been fully paid. 19 20 21 22 "Where premises are vacant and no water is used through a meter in any month, a charge of fifty cents 4.50) per month shall be made. "Where meters are installed for a temporary supply only, a minimum of Two Dollars 02.00) shall be charged. 23 "All metered bills are figured to the nearest even 100 cubic feet, except 24 ;where the rate is twenty oents (0.20) per 100 cubic feet, or more, when the rates 25 will be figured to the nearest even 50 cubic feet." 26 Section 5.
