1 ! AN ORDINANCE prohibiting the discharging, or otherwise shooting, of air -guns,
2 air - pistols, or other contrivances which expel bullets or projectiles by the force
3 of compressed air, providing penalties for the violation thereof, and declaring
• 4 an emergency.
5 3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMEISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGF T .R; •
6 Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person in said city, except officers
7 engaged in the lawful discharge of their duty, and persons practicing target
8 shooting in a duly licensed shooting gallery, to discharge any air -gun, air - pistol,
• 9 or other contrivance which expels bullets or other projectiles of any kind by
10 means of compressed air, within the city limits of Port Angeles.
11 Section 2. Any person convicted of violating any of the provisions of this
12 ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine
13 in any sum not exceeding X100.00 or by imprisonment in the city jail not exceeding
14 thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Section 3. Whereas there is in the interest of public peace and safety a
16 demand for the immediate passage of this ordinance, an emergency is hereby declared
17 to exist and the urgency for the immediate taking effect of this ordinance is
18 hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
19 and after its passage, approval and publication.
