ORDINANCE NO. 1092
1 AN ORDINANCE providing for the establishment and maintenance of a Fire De-
2 partment in and for the City of Port Angeles; providing for and declaring an ewer -
3 gency; placing the ordinance in full force and effect after its lawful publication.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO W15SI0N OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES AS FOLLOWS:

i Section 1. ESTABLISHMENT -- EMPLOYEE$. That the Fire Department of the City
6 of Port Angeles is hereby established, and shall consist of officers and employees
7 as follows: A Chief of Fire Department, Assistant Chiefs of Fire Department, k�
8 Master Mechanic, Superintendent of Radio and Fire Alarm, Truck Drivers, Pipemen
9 and such other officers and employees as may be determined necessary for the proper
10 .conduct and administration of the Department.
11 Section 2. Members of the Fire Department shall receive such monthly salaries
12 as may be provided by ordinance from time to time.
13 Section 3. This ordinance is declared to be urgent and necessary for the im-
14 mediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the inhabitants and
15 people of the City of Port Angeles and shall take effect and be in full force imme-
16 diately upon and from and after its passage, approval and lawful publication.
17 Passed first reading by the City Commission, September 10, 1941.
18 Passed second reading by the City Commission, September 10, 1911.
19 Passed third reading and finally passed and adopted by the City Commission,
20 September 17, 1941.
21 Approved and signed by the Mayor, September 17, 1941.
