HomeMy WebLinkAbout1095ORDINANCE N0. 1095 1 AN ORDINANCE confirming the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port S 2 Angeles for the year 1942, and fixing tax levies for said year 1942 as heretofore 3 .made and levied by the City Commission meeting and sitting for that purpose on the 4 6th day of October, 1941, and declaring an emergency. 5 THE CITY CONNISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 Section 1. That the estimate of expenditures for the levy of taxes made by wv 7 the City Commission as a body for that purpose on the 6th day of October, 1941, be 8 and the same is hereby confirmed, and there is hereby fixed and levied for the 9 City and its districts for the year 1942 upon all property, both real and personal, 10 subject to taxation for the several funds shown herein, and upon each and every 11 1 dollar of the assessed valuation thereof, as shown by the records of assessments 12 in the office of the County Assessor in a nd for Clallam County, Washington, to -wit: 13 FU11d Mills Amount 14 Current Expense 2.50 $ 13,500.00 15 City Street 8.00 43,200.00 16 Library 1.45 7,830.00 17 Park 2.30 12,420.00 18 8th Street Bridge Bond .50 2,700.00 19 Firemen's Relief & Pension .25 1,350.00 20 L.I.D. Guaranty 3.00 16,200.00 21 Total • 18.00 $ 97,200.00 22 Section 2. That all said taxes are necessary levies and needed to raise 23 sufficient revenue to maintain said City, its districts and several departments a3 .rq u3 24 for the year 1942, commencing January 1, 1942, and ending December 31, 1942, and 25 said taxes are hereby levied proportionately in said City and each said district 26 respectively in accordance with their joint and several needs and liabilities as 27 shown upon the assessment roll of said Clallam. County, as finally fixed and 28 equalized by the Board of Equalization of said County and State and Extended upon 29 the assessment rolls of said &ounty, showing property within said City subject to 30 taxation and municipal purposes as therein certified by the County Assessor of 31 said County according to law. 1 Section 3. There is urgent necessity and emergency for the passage and adopt - 2 ;ion and taking effect of this ordinance for the immediate preservation of the pub - 3 lic peace, health and safety, which urgency and emergency is now hereby stated and 4 declared.
